Entrance to lobby 1 of Ploshchad Vosstaniya station was restricted for passengers. The official metro telegram channel reported that at 18:29 on Thursday, April 25, there was an “unscheduled stop of the escalator.”
As the press service of the metro explained to Fontanka, the reason for the unscheduled stop was “a foreign object getting into the comb.” Presumably – a wheel from a suitcase: “the station is a train station, people have suitcases.”
The press service added that the escalator will soon be repaired. The entrance to lobby 1 of the Ploshchad Vosstaniya station began operating as usual at 18:54.
Earlier this week, the St. Petersburg Kupchino metro station was temporarily closed, but it only took 15 minutes to fix the technical problem.
