In St. Petersburg, a man was sentenced for shooting at him with an aerosol pistol in the heat of a quarrel with a neighbor. One ended up in the hospital, the second in the dock.
The incident occurred on August 29, 2022 no later than 2:55 near one of the front doors of building 45, letter A, on Bolshaya Porokhovskaya Street. According to the prosecution, the defendant, during a sudden conflict, shot in the direction of the victim from a Dobrynya self-defense device, the joint press service of the courts of St. Petersburg reported on April 25.
A stream of pepper spray hit the victim in the face. The man received a chemical burn to the right and left periorbital area and the eyeball and ended up in the hospital. The shooter fled the scene. A friend of the victim reported the incident to the police.
The defendant admitted guilt. The Krasnogvardeisky District Court of St. Petersburg found him guilty of hooliganism under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and sentenced him to two years of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of two years.
