Military equipment will join the rehearsals for the Victory Parade in St. Petersburg in late April – early May. Road closures await drivers.
The first training with equipment for the May 9 parade in St. Petersburg will take place on April 30 at 16:00. The dress rehearsal for the Victory Parade will take place at 10 a.m. on May 5. The first deputy chairman of the city committee for legality, order and security, Igor Lyubchenko, announced this at a thematic press conference in TASS on April 25.
During rehearsals, traffic in the center will be blocked. It is still unknown which streets will be closed this year. In the past, part of Nevsky and Admiralteysky Prospekts, Admiralteyskaya and Dvortsovaya embankments, the Moika and Winter Canal embankments, Millionnaya Street, and Dvortsovy Proezd were blocked. During this time, buses and trolleybuses were allowed to take detours or take shortened routes.
