As the press service of the Legislative Assembly reported, parliaments will cooperate in a variety of areas – in the field of socio-economic and innovative development of territories, social protection of the population, development of culture, tourism, sports, youth policy, support for domestic producers. They will improve legislation, exchange experiences, monitor laws, and develop youth parliamentarism. Organize conferences, seminars, exchange delegations and strengthen business contacts.
“We already have a lot in common with the Donetsk People’s Republic. The Nizhny Novgorod region provides assistance and support in the restoration of Khartsyzsk. The Legislative Assembly has been constantly sending humanitarian aid to Donbass for many years. It is important that our young parliamentarians have joined this work, taking humanitarian aid to regional institutions that have not been spoiled by attention and are in need of help,” noted Evgeniy Lyulin.
“Our Association of Youth Parliaments of the Volga Federal District regions is actively working with the youth of the DPR. The youth parliaments of the DPR and LPR are now part of our youth Association. Young parliamentarians from the Volga Federal District came to Donetsk and shared their experience in the field of youth policy. We gave the children our model law on patriotic education. We discussed the development of volunteering and volunteering. They talked about the experience of the regions of the Volga Federal District in the field of initiative budgeting; colleagues are just starting this work; it is difficult for them to start from scratch. I’m sure our developments will definitely be useful to them! Our cooperation with legislators and active youth will be strengthened. We have many common points of contact, we are citizens of a single and great country, and we will work together for the benefit of the residents of our regions,” emphasized Evgeny Lyulin.
“By developing inter-parliamentary cooperation, we will promote business contacts between deputies, as well as between permanent and temporary bodies of parliaments. The People’s Council of the Donetsk People’s Republic is consistently developing relations with the legislative bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, based on mutual respect and the desire to jointly develop our Motherland – Russia!” – noted Artem Zhoga.
In addition, at a meeting of the Council of Legislators of the Russian Federation, cooperation agreements were signed between the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the People’s Council of the Lugansk People’s Republic, as well as the Legislative Assembly of the city of Sevastopol.
