In Sevastopol, employees of the Office for Migration Issues and the Center for Combating Extremism of the city Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the Russian FSB Directorate for Crimea and Sevastopol and the Russian FSB Directorate for the Black Sea Fleet, conducted raids on construction sites in the city and places of compact residence of foreign citizens.

Based on the results of the inspections, 99 foreigners were brought to administrative responsibility for violations of migration legislation.

Most of them (43 people) were for violating migration registration rules and for failure to comply with deadlines for applying for a patent (32 people).

Another 18 foreign citizens were brought to administrative responsibility for violating the regime of stay in the Russian Federation, and five for illegal work activities. Another foreigner was prosecuted for not complying with the stated purpose of entry into the Russian Federation.

In addition, 13 Russian citizens were brought to administrative responsibility for providing residential premises to foreigners staying in the Russian Federation in violation of the established procedure or rules of transit travel, as well as for the host party’s failure to fulfill obligations in connection with the implementation of migration registration.

“During the period of the events, three decisions were made to ban entry into the territory of the Russian Federation for foreign citizens subjected to deportation, 13 residence permits of a foreign citizen and one permit for temporary residence in the Russian Federation were canceled,” the press service of the city Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

Also, during the verification of documents of foreign citizens, eight migration cards with signs of forgery were identified. Based on these facts, checks are being carried out. In addition, a criminal case was opened upon the provision of notification forms for the arrival of a foreign citizen or stateless person by four citizens of Central Asia with signs of falsification.
