More than 100 residents of the Kostroma region have signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense since the beginning of April

According to the press service of the head of the region, the contract service attracts Kostroma residents with the opportunity to protect the interests of the country, to help their fellow countrymen, relatives and friends who are now in the area of ​​the SVO.

“My friend died in the Northern Military District. I’ll go for him, I want to go to the same unit. I watched and read a lot, so I decided. I want to help make this all stop. I grew up in Russia, there is nothing better than our forests, roads, and rivers. It is for my country that I am ready to fight,” says Vasily from Sudai.

Sergei from Manturovo My brother is in the special military operation zone. He has been serving under contract for a long time. Sergei himself recently got married, the decision was made together with his wife.

“I’m tired of fascism, I want to help eradicate it. My grandfather went through the Second World War and was captured. So how can I stay away? Just like him, I will go to defend the country,” he says Sergey.

The state supports the participants of the special operation and their families. Military personnel receive the status of combat veterans, can take advantage of a social rehabilitation and adaptation program, they are provided with credit and tax holidays, budget-funded places for children to study at universities, land plots for housing construction, and more. The amount of a one-time federal and regional payment is 245 thousand rubles, the monthly salary is from 208 thousand rubles.

Also, support measures for Kostroma residents – participants of the SVO and their families are provided under a regional comprehensive program developed on the initiative of the Governor of the Kostroma Region Sergei Sitnikov.
