More than 100 thousand St. George ribbons will be distributed to Nizhny Novgorod residents as part of the All-Russian campaign

The all-Russian action “St. George’s Ribbon” has started throughout the country. According to the regional branch of the All-Russian public movement “Volunteers of Victory”, as part of the action in the Nizhny Novgorod region until May 9, activists will distribute more than 100 thousand St. George ribbons. In addition, they will tell you how to properly place it on your clothes.

The action will take place in all municipal districts of the region, in schools, cultural and social institutions. In Nizhny Novgorod, the main location of the action was Teatralnaya Square.

According to the head of the NRO VOD “Volunteers of Victory” Maria Samodelkina, this year the emphasis is on explaining how to wear the ribbon correctly. Along with the ribbon, a reminder is issued, which has been updated this year.

Also, according to the organizers of the action, before Victory Day, volunteers of the movement will conduct memory lessons “St. George’s Ribbon – a symbol of military glory” in educational organizations, tell the history of the appearance of the symbol of military glory, etc. There will also be training workshops on how to wear the ribbon correctly.
