Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Ryabkov said that Moscow allows a decrease in the level of diplomatic relations with America if it really confiscates the sovereign assets of the Russian Federation in favor of Ukraine, RIA Novosti writes.

“Lowering the level of diplomatic relations is one of the options, of course. Many high-ranking representatives in our government have already spoken out about the issues of our financial and economic response, material response to this step, from which we continue to warn opponents,” Ryabkov said.

The diplomat admitted that the United States first wants to discuss the new adopted bill with the G7 countries, since most of Russian assets are frozen in Europe.

Earlier, economist, associate professor of the Department of Finance and Credit at RUDN University Lazar Badalov said that frozen Russian assets are becoming cheaper. He believes that if the assets are transferred to Ukraine, then this assistance to Kyiv will actually be insignificant.
