The Moscow District Court of St. Petersburg announced a verdict against a woman who tried to give a large bribe to a police officer. This was reported by the joint press service of the courts of the city on the Neva.

The prosecution believed that on October 17 last year, Sanoatzhon Sharipova handed over a bribe of 500 thousand rubles to the deputy chief at the police station, placing it on the edge of her desk. Thus, the woman wanted to help her nephew, who was detained with two bundles of drugs. However, the policeman refused to accept the bribe, and the woman herself became a defendant in a criminal case.

Sharipova admitted her guilt in full and repented of her crime. She had no previous convictions and is not registered. She works, has a husband, is a citizen of the Russian Federation, registered in St. Petersburg. The court sentenced her to 4 years of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of 4 years. At the same time, half a million rubles were confiscated and turned into state income.
