The environmental prosecutor’s office of St. Petersburg discovered violations of the deadlines for the reconstruction of the Fontanka River embankment, the department’s press service reported. We are talking about work on the embankment section near the Anichkov Bridge.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the contractor did not complete the major repairs of the Fontanka River embankment opposite building 31-35 on time. Work on the site continues, but at the end of November 2023, the environmental management committee received a notification about its completion and the removal of equipment.
According to the department, the organization did not apply for a new permit to provide the water body for use.
“The elimination of violations is under the control of the environmental prosecutor’s office,” the department concluded.
