Novosibirsk cosmetologist Oksana Momonova shared the secret of maintaining youthful skin – giving up sweets and baked goods. In an interview with VN.ru, the specialist said that excess sugar in the diet negatively affects the quality of the skin, accelerates the aging process and provokes various rashes.

According to Momonova, eating sweets leads to an increase in insulin levels in the blood, which, in turn, stimulates the activity of the sebaceous glands and the appearance of rashes. As a result, the skin takes on a gray tint and looks tired.

In addition, the abuse of sweet foods triggers the glycation process, which destroys collagen, which is responsible for the firmness and elasticity of the skin.

To maintain healthy and youthful skin, Oksana Momonova recommends including healthy fats and foods rich in vitamins and antioxidants in your diet.
