Entrepreneurs and Popular Front activists restored a dilapidated bridge near Voronezh

Residents of Zarechnaya and Kavkazskaya streets in the village of Nizhnyaya Veduga, Semiluksky district, turned to activists of the Youth Wing of the Popular Front for help in order to jointly restore the bridge across the river, which they built more than 50 years ago. As Molodezhka reported, the structure became unsafe due to rotten boards.

Locals said that the alternative route runs along a busy regional highway that does not have sidewalks or lighting, so they were forced to use the emergency bridge – otherwise they would not be able to get to the school, administration or shops.

Entrepreneur Gazis Apyrbaev acted as a sponsor of the people’s reconstruction: he provided the necessary materials, and volunteers, together with employees of the construction company, began repairing the bridge.

“We strengthened the bridge structure, installed protective beams, and built a fence,” the entrepreneur shared.

In approximately a week, community members plan to paint the bridge and finally complete the repair of the structure. However, according to activists, the work will not be finished:

– We turned to the Ministry of Roads of the Voronezh Region with a request to create a safe pedestrian zone across the Gnilusha River bridge in 2024. And the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources was asked to include the section of the river running along the village of Nizhnyaya Veduga in the regional program for cleaning water bodies,” said Valeria Lysachenko, coordinator of the Youth wing of the Popular Front.
