Novosibirsk graduates will be able to retake the Unified State Exam before admission to universities begins

For this purpose, two additional days were added to the Unified State Exam schedule – July 4 and 5.

Starting from 2024, two additional days have been added to the Unified State Examination (USE) schedule, during which 11th-graders will be able to retake the USE before admission to universities.

The issues of organizing a retake on additional days of the Unified State Examination in one of the academic subjects of students’ choice and the use of retake results for admission to universities in the year of this Unified State Examination, as well as the implementation of changes to the schedule of the State Examination-2024 were discussed on April 24 at a meeting of the working group on preparation and conduct of the state final certification in 2024 under the chairmanship of Deputy Governor Sergei Nelyubov.

The Deputy Governor emphasized that, in accordance with the new schedule, there have been changes in the dates of the exams – two additional days have been added – July 4 and 5. In this case, the results of the previous exam will be canceled; this information must be communicated to graduates of the current year. Currently, 14,909 people are registered to participate in the main period of the Unified State Exam in the Novosibirsk region, of which 13,213 are school graduates of the current year.

“By order of the governor, all issues related to the organization and conduct of the state final certification must be under the control of the heads of municipalities. It is necessary to conduct training activities to develop an algorithm of actions in the event of unforeseen situations in order to prevent technical failures and disruption of state exams. Organize work to attract citizens as public observers to ensure the objectivity of state examinations,” emphasized Sergei Nelyubov.

Deputy Minister of Education of the Novosibirsk Region Vladimir Shchukin reported on readiness to conduct state final certification during the main period in 2024. In particular, he said that in 2024, as in previous years, in accordance with the recommendations of Rosobrnadzor, remote work of the conflict commission of the Novosibirsk region will be organized.

The main period of GIA-11 will take place from May 23 to July 5. Students who have annual grades in all academic subjects of the curriculum for grades 10-11 are not lower than satisfactory and have a “pass” for the final essay (presentation) are admitted to it.
