A pre-investigation check is underway after a worker was injured at one of the Tula factories.

Investigators from the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Tula Region are establishing the causes of injury to an auxiliary worker at one of the production facilities in Tula. The press service of the department reports this.

The incident occurred on April 24, 2024, according to our information, at the local enterprise Mebplast LLC, located in the village of Skuratovo. The main profile is furniture production. As far as is known today, a 36-year-old utility worker, while unloading metal pipes, hit his head on a hanging crane and then fell to the ground. At the same moment, a cart with metal pipes ran over the man, which also hit the man in the head. The victim was hospitalized with traumatic brain injuries in a city hospital; his condition is unknown.

Currently, an investigator of the investigative department for the Central District of the city of Tula of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Tula region is conducting a pre-investigation check on the fact of injury at work. Documentation relevant to the investigation has already been seized, eyewitnesses to the incident have been interviewed, and the scene of the incident has been inspected. A set of verification measures is being carried out aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident, as well as identifying the person responsible for ensuring labor safety at the enterprise.
