Bryansk customs officers, together with FSB officers and border guards, successfully stopped an attempt to illegally import a large batch of tobacco products without excise stamps and markings.

As a result of an operation carried out by a mobile group of Bryansk customs, a van transporting glass containers from Gomel to Bryansk was detained. However, during an inspection of the car, more than 70 thousand packs of cigarettes of Belarusian origin were discovered, which is a violation of the law.

According to the head of Bryansk customs, the value of the seized illegal products is estimated at 9 million rubles. At the moment, the issue of initiating a criminal case under an article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for smuggling tobacco products on a large scale is being decided.
