The Antimonopoly Service opened a case over an advertisement for a Russian steam room at the Chelyabinsk International Airport, reports a correspondent for the Access News Agency.

It is reported that a local resident contacted the Federal Antimonopoly Service with a complaint about an advertisement with the offer “The largest Russian steam room for real men.”

“According to preliminary data, the advertisement creates the impression that no other market participant can offer consumers a larger Russian steam room,” says the department’s press service.

The information does not contain specific characteristics or comparison parameters that have objective confirmation.

“The use of information about the advantages of goods in advertising is permissible only if such an advantage is documented. Objective confirmation can be established by winning a competition, expert research, independent examination, independent survey,” commented the Chelyabinsk OFAS.

A case has been initiated against the advertising producer on grounds of violation of the Advertising Law.
