The large-scale national music forum will once again delight Russians with its vast geography and rich program – symphony, choral, bell. The capital of the Golden Ring on the route of the train became the second where the founder of the festival, maestro Valery Gergiev, made a stop. On the stage of the First Russian Theater he gives a symphony concert together with the famous Mariinsky Theater. Let me note that the performances this time are dedicated to both memorable dates and anniversaries of great composers. This year, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Modest Mussorgsky, and Mikhail Glinka are honored. The festival will last until May 16th. It is held with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’.
