The regional center discussed the migration situation in the region. This is the main issue of the meeting of the regional public chamber.
Against the backdrop of the tragic events in Crocus City Hall, it was noted at the meeting, the topic of migration has become especially acute. Social activists discussed new challenges in the migration sphere with representatives of the regional Government, the regional Ministry of Labor, the regional Duma, as well as the prosecutor’s office and the police.
Mikhail Bronchukov, Chairman of the Commission for Public Control over the Activities of State Authorities and Local Self-Government Bodies of the Public Chamber of the Tambov Region: “There must be control here and close work must be done to prevent various excesses. The purpose of this entire event is to prevent among the arriving migrants those who are at odds with the law in their homeland, who are actually, potentially, violators of the laws during their stay in the region.”
The situation in the region is assessed as stable. Meanwhile, social activists believe that authorities should strengthen control and strictly comply with migration legislation.
Let us remind you that on April 22, bailiffs of the Tambov region expelled more than 30 foreign citizens from Russia. In addition, earlier employees of the regional department also expelled 18 citizens of neighboring countries from the country. All of them were in different districts of the Tambov region illegally. Now, for the next five years, they are prohibited from entering Russia.
