Satellites of the Roscosmos state corporation help monitor the situation during floods in the Kirov region. With their help, the Kirov Center for Strategic Development receives data on territories with an area of ​​more than 2 thousand square kilometers.

Geoservices of the Digital Earth project increase the transparency and efficiency of resource management in the region, the regional government noted. Thus, the results of flood monitoring are combined with data from the Geographic Information System. Later they are sent to the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the authorities.
