Moscow. 25th of April. INTERFAX.RU – The Tverskoy Court of Moscow, at the request of the investigation, sent former First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region Svetlana Strigunkova under arrest until June 15, Interfax was told in court.
Strigunkova was charged with receiving a particularly large bribe (Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The criminal case in which Strigunkova was detained is related to corruption, according to investigators, during the repair of hospitals near Moscow.
At the court hearing it became known: the investigation accuses Strigunkova of receiving at least 123 million rubles as a bribe. for the patronage of the Stroy-STK company.
According to the materials, 34 million rubles. Another person involved in the case, former Deputy Minister of Health of the Moscow Region Alexander Zakharov, who was also previously accused of bribery and arrested, received for mediation services.
It was after a confrontation with Zakharov on April 24 that Strigunkova was detained.
She served as first deputy chairman of the Moscow region government from January 2020 to March 2024. In her post, she, in particular, oversaw regional healthcare.
