On April 25, the Rossiya 24 TV channel in Tver hosted a live broadcast with the participation of Governor Igor Rudeni. According to the press service of the regional government, the head of the region answered pressing questions and spoke about key events in the Upper Volga region.

The construction of large-scale infrastructure projects in the Tver region – the Western Bridge and the Children’s Regional Clinical Hospital – continues. Last week and this week, the head of the region checked how work was progressing at the facilities.

“The active construction season has now begun. We walk along the Western Bridge according to schedule. These are three major projects at once. Directly on the bridge, the sliding of the left span has been completed. We plan to complete all approaches to it by the end of May. And by the end of this year we plan to introduce the second span,” said Igor Rudenya.

Work on the new overpass at the Frunze Street alignment is in the final stage. The launch of the labor movement is planned for May – early June. After this, the reconstruction of the so-called “Humpbacked” bridge on the Petersburg highway will begin.

Work is also actively underway on the railway overpass on Komsomolskaya Square in the Proletarsky district. Now traffic here is provided in a reduced format – in two lanes.

“We expect to have three-lane traffic in place by May 1,” the governor said. “We apologize to our residents for these inconveniences.”

Igor Rudenya emphasized: the commissioning of the Western Bridge complex will significantly improve the logistics of the regional center, including increasing the accessibility of the medical cluster, part of which is the new complex of the Children’s Regional Hospital under construction. The construction of internal and external walls is currently underway. This year it is planned to completely construct the buildings of the building, proceed to the construction of the roof and facade, and installation of engineering systems.

Even at the construction stage, work is underway to select modern domestic equipment, and issues of forming the staff of the DOCH are being worked out.

The theme of construction continued with the introduction of social facilities that are being built in the Tver region with the participation of military construction companies. The topic has been repeatedly raised on social networks by residents of the region.

Igor Rudenya said that currently, with the participation of companies from the Russian Ministry of Defense, a children’s clinic in Torzhok and an indoor football arena in Tver are being built in the Tver region.

The facility in Torzhok is at a high stage of readiness. The installation of the facade, partitions, internal engineering systems, and plastering of the walls are being completed. The clinic is scheduled to open this summer. At the football arena construction site, foundation work has been completed, the construction of a monolithic building frame and a monolithic field slab is underway. Construction has intensified, and the group of workers is growing.

Another significant topic that worries residents of Tver is the renovation of the Morozovsky town.

The governor recalled that at the first stage, work was carried out to resettle residents from the emergency buildings of the complex. For these purposes, modern houses were built on Frunze Street in Tver.

Plans for revitalization of the space were discussed the day before in the regional government with a potential investor, who presented the concept for the development of the Morozovsky town.

It is planned to restore cultural heritage sites, reorganize industrial zones, and create new residential buildings and commercial sites. As well as the arrangement of park areas and public spaces, the renewal of the road network, and the introduction of socially significant infrastructure. It is important that during the implementation of the project the historical appearance of the Morozov town will be preserved.

It is planned that all preparatory work will be completed this year, design documentation will be developed next year, then restoration and construction work will begin.

Igor Rudenya summed up the results of his working trip last week to the Rzhev District. Now in Rzhev, on behalf of President Vladimir Putin, under the auspices of the national project “Housing and Urban Environment,” new water intake structures are being built.

The governor also spoke about a project to clean up a section of the Volga where a bridge that was blown up during the Great Patriotic War is located. They plan to remove the structure and make it an exhibition object.

In addition, at the request of veteran activists, the district is repairing the bridge across the Bolshaya Locha River.

In Rzhev, the governor gave a number of instructions to improve the territory and repair the medical college, supply a magnetic resonance imaging scanner to the clinic of the Central Regional Hospital, repair the maternity hospital and purchase additional equipment.

Traditionally, questions from residents of the region are heard live. Today, mother of four children Ekaterina Mityushkina from the village of Chigirevo, Kalyazinsky district, addressed the governor with a request for gasification of the settlement.

Igor Rudenya said: this settlement is on track for gasification by the end of the year. At the same time, a large family will be able to take advantage of regional support in the amount of 300 thousand rubles.

The governor spoke generally about gasification of the region. Thus, this year the key stage of the program to supply gas to the remaining 10 non-gas municipalities in the region will begin. It will be synchronized with the arrangement of internal communications in populated areas.

On the eve of the Orthodox holiday of Easter, Igor Rudenya announced plans for the arrival of Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ Kirill to the Tver region.

On April 4, at a meeting with the Patriarch in the Danilov Monastery in Moscow, the governor and Metropolitan of Tver and Kashin Ambrose asked to perform the rite of the Great Consecration of the Transfiguration Cathedral. The Patriarch also blessed the reconstruction of the Tver Otroch Monastery complex as part of the formation of the cultural and historical cluster “Rechnoy”.

Another holiday, dear and close to all residents of Russia, is approaching – Victory Day. Its main characters are veterans of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers, and children of war.

“We really appreciate these people. Our duty is to provide them with full support and pay special attention. Therefore, we decided to increase payments this year by May 9. In total there are more than 50 thousand recipients. They have already started transferring funds,” noted Igor Rudenya.

For example, participants and disabled people of the Great Patriotic War will receive 50 thousand rubles this year – twice as much as in 2023.

The live broadcast also discussed safety measures for the upcoming May holidays and weekends.

“Conference meetings were held with the heads of municipalities. We helped the territories with organizing work to prevent grass from burning. In addition, additional full houses will be installed and work will be carried out by the Ministry of Emergency Situations to prevent forest fires. I would like to appeal to our TV viewers – it is very important to be careful and watch your children. Please do not leave children unattended and be especially careful near water bodies,” the governor said at the end of the broadcast.
