In five cities of the Chelyabinsk region, unfavorable meteorological conditions have emerged that contribute to the accumulation of pollutants in the ground layer of the atmosphere. The “black sky” regime will last at least two days.

As the Chelyabinsk Hydrometeorological Center reported to the Ural-Press-Inform agency, in the territory of Zlatoust, Korkino, Karabash, Magnitogorsk and Chelyabinsk, NMU is predicted from 22:00 on April 25 to 19:00 on April 27.

For this period, individual enterprises in the Chelyabinsk region have been warned of first-degree non-compliance.

With the first degree NMU, industrial enterprises are required to reduce emissions into the atmosphere by 15-20% of the established standards, with the second degree – by 20-40%, with the third degree of danger – by 40-60%.

The regional Ministry of Ecology assures that industrial enterprises are ready to take measures to reduce the negative impact on the atmospheric air by suspending some production processes.

Atmospheric air quality is monitored 24/7 at stationary observation network posts, mobile laboratories, and by specialists from regulatory authorities.

The level of concentration of harmful substances in the air of Chelyabinsk can be seen in real time on the website of the Unified Information System air quality monitoring.
