Procession “Immortal Regiment” 2024

From May 1 to May 12, 2024, you can take part in the “Immortal Regiment” campaign online. There will be no traditional procession this year.

This year you can take part in the “Immortal Regiment” at work, in public or official transport, on water, and in the air. One of these formats is “Memory Galleries”: portraits of heroes of the Soviet Union and participants in a special military operation – natives of this region – will be placed on the central streets and squares of Russian cities.

New formats for the Immortal Regiment will also be held abroad along with the traditional procession. To date, there is already confirmation that the celebrations will take place in 78 cities in 49 countries on all continents.

Today it is important not only to remember the heroes of the past, but also to honor the heroes of the present who defend the borders of our homeland in the Northern Military District zone. And it is no coincidence that one of the formats this year will be the “Immortal Regiment on the Frontline”: participants in a special military operation will remember their relatives who fought against Nazism during the Great Patriotic War, and will record video congratulations to their parents, children, brothers and sisters who are waiting for them and believing in them into victory.

In educational institutions from May 1 to May 12, the “Wall of Memory” campaign will be held. These days, it is important to give the floor to the children themselves so that they can tell their peers about the exploits of their heroes. Such “Memory Walls” will remain in schools until the end of the school year.
