On April 27, 2024, the Kremlin in Izmailovo will host a festival of Lenten cuisine, which will be attended by the best chefs of our country, participants and winners of world culinary competitions, as well as chefs from other countries.
The venue for the festival will be the “Boyarsky” hall of the Palace of Russian Meal, which is located on the main square of the Kremlin in Izmailovo. On the square is located the Church of St. Nicholas – a registered church of the Moscow St. Danilov Monastery, made in the ancient traditions of Russian architecture.
As part of the festival, a professional competition will be held for the preparation of Lenten dishes of Russian cuisine, in which the best chefs of the country, members of the Moscow Culinary Association, the National Guild of Chefs of Russia, Chefs Team Russia, the National Culinary Association, the Guild of Chefs of Russia, the Guild of Chefs of Russia will take part. chefs of Azerbaijan and other associations, students of Moscow universities and professional colleges in the preparation of Lenten dishes. Based on the results of the competitions, a professional jury will determine the winners.
The festival program promises to be intense; in the Boyar Hall of the Kremlin in Izmailovo, visitors will be able to get acquainted with the originality of ancient recipes for Russian cuisine, watch master classes from famous chefs, students of culinary universities and schoolchildren.
Upstairs in the “Museum of Bread” at 11:00 we are waiting for everyone to attend a master class on preparing the most delicious porridge from Hercules from Mikhail Gavrilov – Chef of the corner of Karelian cuisine in the House of Russian Cuisine at VDNKh, Member of the Moscow Culinary Association, Ambassador of the Union of Orthodox Chefs Russia.
At the end of the master class, everyone present will be able to try the Lenten porridge. And at 2:00 p.m., a carving workshop will be held in “Baba Yaga’s Hut.” Students and chefs will demonstrate basic techniques for creating appetizing decorations that even children can bring to life.
