From April 28 to May 4, 2024, the VII local history dictation “Moscow Code” will be held in Moscow. Citizens will be able to test their knowledge by answering 20 questions about the history and architecture of Moscow. You can take part both offline and online.
For the second year in a row, the flagship site for local history dictation will be the situational center of the city of Moscow. It is here that the presenters – the head of the Moscow City Heritage Alexey Emelyanov and the Russian figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva – will read out the questions to the participants. An online broadcast of the event will be organized.
In addition, it will be possible to write a dictation in person in the recently restored Ryazan tram park on Novoryazanskaya Street (now the gastrocluster “Three Stations. Depot” is located here), in the Gallery on Elokhovsky, the ZIL Cultural Center, pavilion No. 58 “Agriculture” at VDNKh, where he works Museum of Slavic Literature “Slovo”, Museum of Moscow, Museum-Theater “Bulgakov House”, Central Museum of Ancient Russian Culture and Art named after Andrei Rublev, Cultural Center of Andrei Voznesensky, Central Universal Scientific Library named after N. A. Nekrasov, House of Culture “Gaidarovets”, Central City Youth Library named after M. A. Svetlov, in the Bashmet Center and other places.
Educational institutions in the capital will also take part in the dictation. These include Moscow Polytechnic University, Moscow Government University, College of Architecture, Design and Reengineering No. 26, International Academy of Business and Management, Synergy University, College of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Russian State Social University and others.
In order to take part in the dictation, you must register on the Discover Moscow project website and select one of the platforms. In addition, citizens can test their knowledge online on the Discover Moscow portal. Questions will be divided into four age categories: from six to 11 years, from 12 to 15, from 16 to 18 and over 18 years.
You can also take part in the dictation in the “Active Citizen” project. For each correct answer, five points will be awarded, which participants can exchange on the “Million Prizes” website.
The online dictation will be conducted by theater and film artist Anastasia Panina, general director of the Bolshoi Moscow State Circus Edgard Zapashny, TV presenter Pavel Zanozin, founder of the Winzavod contemporary art center Sofya Trotsenko, general director of the Moscow Zoo Svetlana Akulova and others.
The winners of the dictation will receive memorable prizes, as well as gifts from the partners of the event, including the VDNKh pavilions, the Moscow Theater “School of Modern Play”, the Luzhniki Olympic Complex, the Victory Museum, the Moscow Drama Theater named after A. S. Pushkin, the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve ” and others.
You can submit your question for dictation until April 24. To do this, you need to send a question related to the history and architecture of the capital to email: [email protected]. The most interesting one will be included in the dictation, and its author will receive a memorable prize.
