The implementation of plans for the development of the south of the St. Petersburg agglomeration will give the region a significant economic effect – 4.4 trillion in tax revenue over 15 years, noted the chief architect of the A101 Group of Companies in St. Petersburg, Elizaveta Grechukhina, at the IBC construction congress.

In addition to the rapid growth of the region’s economy, the most important effect of the development of the south of the agglomeration will be the strengthening of the transport and engineering framework.

It is also important to form new points of attraction, implement planned scientific clusters, develop light industrial in new areas – industry that does not require sanitary zones, and also strengthen the recreational direction – popularize weekend tourism. The potential for this is seen primarily in the location from Krasnoye Selo to Pushkin and Pavlovsk. The Duderhof Heights are located here – one of the most beautiful places in the south of St. Petersburg and the region, which can attract interest at the federal level. The territory is already a point of attraction for the tourism business; noticeable objects appear here, for example, a ski resort and equestrian centers.
