St. Petersburg and India plan to expand cooperation in shipbuilding, education, and labor migration. The press service of the city governor reported this on Thursday, April 25.

Issues of cooperation were discussed by the head of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, and the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Russian Federation, Vinay Kumar.

“Relations between our countries, despite all the challenges of our time, are developing steadily and multifaceted. St. Petersburg has always played an important role in cooperation between Russia and India,” noted the governor of the Northern capital.

Beglov drew attention to the significant increase in trade turnover between St. Petersburg and India. In 2023, it will more than double.
