Amendments to the law “Fundamentals of the legislation of the Russian Federation on culture” have been submitted to the State Duma of Russia.

The bill is intended to strengthen the security of entertainment events. They are asked to secure new responsibilities as organizers. They will have to organize interaction with government authorities in resolving issues of ensuring public order and public safety during the entertainment event; inform visitors about the termination of the event and the procedure to follow in the event of a threat. Also, together with the owners of the premises, organize access control and intra-facility regimes, and monitor entrance tickets.

It is also proposed to establish the obligation of the organizer, no later than 30 days before the start, to notify the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs about what kind of event it will be, its topic, place and time. And the planned number of people.
