The monument was put in order in the Turynino microdistrict. This was reported in Kalugaoblvodokanal.

Workers updated the color of the monument. They painted the stele itself white, and individual elements and inscriptions – gold. In addition, specialists sawed down dead trees, removed debris and painted the fence black.

Here in 1941, Soviet soldiers defended the regional center from the Nazis. They held the defense across the Oka crossing. However, the German army sent three divisions and the soldiers died on October 12, 1941.

“Caring for them is the duty of the current generations, who were born thanks to the dedication of those who fought at the front and forged Victory in the rear.“, the department noted.

At the beginning of April, three monuments in Kaluga were cleaned of dust and dirt, and the tiles and benches were repaired.
