The “Urban Environment” project, developed by United Russia, is designed to solve the problems of improving public areas and courtyards. According to the secretary of the Tambov city branch of the party, deputy of the regional Duma Irina Ten, his main task is to attract residents of the region to the improvement of cities and villages, as well as to call on the public to control the progress of work.
Project “Urban environment“has been carried out in the region, as well as throughout the country, for seven years now. During this time, 1,738 courtyards and public areas were landscaped in 92 municipalities of the region. Last year, 85 courtyards and 114 public spaces were landscaped.
Now on the platform https://68.gorodsreda.ru there is an electronic rating vote on parks and squares that, according to citizens, need to be improved in 2025. True, only cities participate in it. These are Tambov, Kotovsk, Michurinsk, Morshansk, Rasskazovo and Uvarovo.
Residents of the regional center have already voted for the improvement of Avtograd, the territory in the area of the Dynamo stadium and two sections of the pedestrian zone along Entuziastov Boulevard.
In the microdistrict near the motor town there are no public spaces where you can walk or relax in the fresh air, especially for families with children. Therefore, last year in 2023, they began to improve this territory. Flower beds have already appeared there, and the leaves are already blooming on the planted trees.
Pedestrian areas on Enthusiasts Boulevard needed improvement, which became noticeable even in the pre-Covid era, during the procession of the “Immortal Regiment”. The townspeople talked about this and wrote about it in personal addresses to Irina Ten, as a coordinator, and on social networks. Then part of the boulevard from Karl Marx to Socialist Street was improved, but the other two zones remained in decline, so the boulevard won during the rating vote.
Another notable object is a public garden in the Malshchina microdistrict of the city in Rasskazov. For the last 25 years it has been a wasteland. Now he has been cultivated. Beautiful lighting appeared there, allowing people to walk in the evenings.
This year it is planned to improve 85 courtyards and 45 public areas. Residents of the regional center by a majority vote chose a public garden in the area of children’s music school No. 2 named after V.K. Merzhanov, Pionersky Park and Akhlebinovskaya Grove – the oldest park in the city, where work has already begun. The head of the region, Maxim Egorov, also supported this facility.
In the park near the children’s music school, the landscaping that was once done has fallen into disrepair: tiles have broken off from the fountain’s fencing, and the street lighting poles have rusted through. Therefore, residents of the northern part of the city are waiting for the renovation of the winning square.
Landscaping and lighting of the park “Pionersky“also needs updating, especially since people not only walk here, but also hold public meetings on the development of the microdistrict.
Large-scale work is also planned in Michurinsk. Science City won the All-Russian competition for the best projects to create a comfortable urban environment. In 2023, reconstruction of its historical part began – Michurin Square and Sovetskaya Street. The work will be completed by the end of this year.
Project “Creating a comfortable urban environment» not as resource-intensive as other federal projects. As a rule, objects under this program are “closed” year after year. Three cities of the Tambov region in 2023 became winners of the all-Russian competition initiated by the President. In Uvarovo they plan to improve the coastal zone of the Vorona River, in Kirsanov Green Square, and in Morshansk – the embankment of the Tsna River along Svobodnaya Street.
Thanks to the initiative of the Head of the region, Maxim Egorov, a project to improve courtyards near 10 apartment buildings has been implemented in Tambov for the third year. This year it is called “The Road to Home with the Whole Family.” Thanks to it, sports and play areas for children of different ages and places for quiet relaxation appear.
Large apartment buildings are ready to help finance some of the work. Most often this is the expansion of the roadway and the installation of parking areas. However, there are restrictions: there is no place for parking in the courtyards.
The United Russia party constantly monitors the work. Sometimes control is carried out jointly with local governments or relevant regional ministries.
By the way, for the implementation of the project “Creating a comfortable urban environment“Last year, 259.5 million rubles were allocated. In the same year, 236.8 million rubles will be allocated from various sources for landscaping work.
