The head of the North-Eastern body of the Federal Air Transport Agency was taken into custody

26 April. Taking into account the position of the Magadan Transport Prosecutor’s Office, the court took into custody the former head of the territorial body of the Federal Air Transport Agency, the press service of the Magadan Transport Prosecutor’s Office told MagadanMedia.

The former head of the North-Eastern Interregional Territorial Air Transport Directorate of the Federal Air Transport Agency was charged with committing crimes under Part 3 of Art. 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (misappropriation committed using official position) and clause “e” part 3 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (exceeding official powers out of selfish interest).

According to investigators, in the period 2022-2023. the accused systematically gave instructions to his subordinates to transfer to him part or all of the increased bonuses, and also submitted reports on business trips with inflated amounts of expenses incurred.

On March 28, 2024, the specified official was given a preventive measure in the form of house arrest. However, the accused repeatedly violated the prohibitions established by the court.

Taking into account the position of the prosecutor, who considered it necessary to change the preventive measure to a more stringent one, the Magadan City Court of the Magadan Region placed the accused in custody for 2 months.
