Ulyanovsk deputy accused of discrediting the RF Armed Forces Ulpress

Ten United Russia deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Ulyanovsk region sent a letter to the head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region, Maxim Petrushin, in which they reported that their colleague in parliament, deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Ramil Khakimov, at the March meeting of the Legislative Assembly made public statements discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in combat actions on the territory of Afghanistan, Chechnya, Dagestan and in the Northern Military District. The appeal says that Khakimov called the state awards of deputies Oleg Lobunts, Sergei Morgachev, Nikolai Lazarev, Yuri Mukhin and Andrei Sedov “trinkets.” United Russia members believe that it is necessary to initiate an administrative case against the communist under Part 1 of Art. 20.3 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.

Khakimov himself called the essence of the accusation against him “lies” and “collective lies”:

– On March 27, a meeting of the Legislative Assembly of the Ulyanovsk region was held, where it was decided to publish information in the media about my violation of the norms of parliamentary ethics. What this violation consists of is still not clear to me. But what is more surprising is that after this meeting, 10 United Russia deputies sent an appeal to the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with information that was absolutely untrue. Thus, United Russia members accuse me of allegedly making public statements at a closed meeting aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation! An absolute lie! Apparently, the calculation was that the collective lies of “respected people” in a closed meeting would make it possible to blame and punish the inconvenient deputy. However, a recording of a discussion of a closed issue was distributed by one local media.

Now Khakimov is preparing a statement to law enforcement agencies regarding slander and false denunciation.
