In the Novosibirsk region, they named the territories where ticks most often attack people. During the week from April 17 to April 23, they bit more than 60 residents of the region.

According to the press service of Rospotrebnadzor, the most cases of tick bites were recorded in the regional capital (8 people were injured there in a week), Berdsk (5 cases), Maslyaninsky and Iskitimsky districts (5 cases each).

Among more than 40 ticks tested for encephalitis, not a single one was found infected. 5 out of 37 ticks delivered to the laboratory turned out to be carriers of the causative agent of borreliosis.

In total, since the beginning of the epidemic season in the Novosibirsk region, 85 people have already suffered from tick bites – this is twice as many as in the same period last year. Two are suspected of tick-borne encephalitis.

Earlier, Gorsayt wrote that two Novosibirsk residents were hospitalized with suspected tick-borne encephalitis.
