The ice is melting on Lake Baikal, and at the stand of the Irkutsk region at the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia” it has already melted. The stands of all regions of Russia, located in pavilion No. 75 at VDNKh, changed the scenery and headed for the summer.

Let us remind you that from the very beginning of the exhibition, the Irkutsk exhibition, with an area of ​​more than 100 square meters, was based on Baikal ice: its image was placed on the floor, inside a wooden portal in the center of the exhibition, on a large-scale video wall. Now visitors to the Angara region stand will see an image of clear Baikal water and stones under their feet.

The photo zone has also changed: now everyone can take a photo in jade and charoite boots against the backdrop of the summer Baikal landscape. In winter, an ice grotto was depicted there.

– At the stand of the Irkutsk region there are daily events that introduce visitors to the cultural traditions of the region, educational lectures and master classes. Our guests of all ages take part in them with pleasure. Since the exhibition began, more than 60 thousand people have already visited the region’s exposition. Here they can learn about the region’s achievements in a variety of areas, take a virtual dive into the depths of Lake Baikal, and much more. Recently, four monophones were installed at the stand, with the help of which you can listen to musical compositions about the Irkutsk region,” said Igor Kobzev, Governor of the Irkutsk Region.
