26 April. An emergency warning about the possible occurrence of emergencies in the Magadan region on April 27, 2024 was transmitted in the Magadan region, reported MagadanMedia news agency at the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Kolyma UGMS”.
According to forecasts, there is a possibility of an emergency situation occurring at the inter-municipal level in the city of Magadan, Olsky, Omsukchansky and North-Evensky municipalities associated with damage (breakage) of power lines and communication lines, disruptions in the operation of all types of transport, road utilities, and accumulation of vehicles on passes, the occurrence of road traffic accidents, disruption of road traffic, possible deformation and collapse of weakly reinforced structures (including billboards), as well as the collapse of snow canopies and icicles, injuries and deaths. There is a threat of deformation and destruction of the ice field of the fast ice of the Sea of Okhotsk, Gertner and Nagaevo bays.
It was recommended that municipal leaders strengthen control over the condition of roads, the regional Emergency Situations Ministry to put forces and means on high alert, and provide data on the availability of forces and means to the chairman of the CoES.
