A seminar for representatives of commissions on juvenile affairs is being held in Irkutsk

The seminar “Legal basis for organizing the activities of commissions for minors and protecting their rights: problems, prospects” is being held in the Irkutsk region. The event opened in the library named after I.I. Molchanov-Sibirsky. The press service of the regional government reported this on April 25, 2024.

A significant part of the seminar reports is devoted to the Year of the Family. The purpose of the event is to exchange experience in preventive work between municipalities.

– A strong family and its values ​​are the basis of our state, its social well-being, culture, economy and security. Therefore, today all efforts of state and public institutions should be aimed at strengthening and protecting traditional Russian family values. All preventive work carried out in municipalities should be aimed at preventing the unfavorable development of the situation in the family or in the child! It is important to be able to see specific problems in advance, and not solve them after the fact, when, sometimes, it is already too late– emphasized the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Irkutsk Region, Chairman of the Regional Commission on Minors’ Affairs and Protection of Their Rights Valentina Voblikova.

Nizhneilimsky district spoke about patriotic education as the basis of preventive work with children at risk. Representatives of the commission from Bodaibo and the region shared new forms of crime prevention among children. Angarsk presented the municipal project “Focus: Family” and spoke about the experience of using social theater technology in working with disadvantaged families.

New opportunities for organizing leisure activities for children, involving them in socially useful activities, and discovering their abilities were announced by the regional branch of the First Movement. Special attention was paid to the activities of fathers’ councils, which, together with the CDN, work with families enrolled in various preventive registrations.

The seminar presented the experience of implementing the non-profit project “Intercessor”, aimed at ensuring the safety of children. It has developed a free mobile application of the same name that allows you to come to the aid of children in an emergency. In the near future, an information campaign will be organized and the implementation of this project will be launched.

On the second day, the seminar participants will consider issues of law enforcement practice of the commissions, which is one of the main activities of the body, as well as compliance with legal requirements when drawing up certain documents.
