The “St. George’s Ribbon” campaign started in the Ivanovo region

On Wednesday, April 24, the St. George’s Ribbon campaign started in the Ivanovo region. For two weeks, Victory volunteers will distribute to everyone who wants it a symbol of respect for the defenders of the Fatherland from different historical eras.

More than 230 places have been selected in the Ivanovo region where residents will be able to receive the St. George Ribbon. For example, in Ivanovo, ribbons will be distributed every day until May 8 from 16:00 on the central streets and squares of the city – Pushkin and Pobeda Squares.

“More than 400 Victory volunteers will distribute ribbons in all municipalities of the region from April 24 to May 9. Volunteers will also distribute information leaflets, talk about the history of the St. George ribbon and how to wear it correctly,” explained Anton Korotkov, head of the regional department “ Victory Volunteers”.

The grand opening of the event took place in the regional center. The event was attended by students from Ivanovo universities and colleges, representatives of youth organizations and military-patriotic clubs.

In 2023, the St. George’s Ribbon event took place from April 25 to May 9. More than 30 thousand volunteers distributed symbols in different regions.

On May 9, more than 60 thousand St. George ribbons were distributed to visitors at the Victory Museum.
