On May 4, Irkutsk will host the XL festival of health-improving aerobics “Fitness Style”. 65 groups from all over the region will perform at the Trud Sports Palace. The press service of the regional Ministry of Sports reported this on April 26, 2024.
The anniversary festival is held in three age groups:
- first group – children 7-15 years old,
- second group – juniors and youth 16-25 years old,
- the third group is adults aged 26 years and older.
A team of 6 people performs a composition lasting from 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes, depending on the age group.
The compositions must be dynamic, spectacular and include elements of basic aerobics and other types of aerobics (funk, step, Latin, hip-hop). Groups of fitness club instructors, Bellydance groups, dance groups of fitness clubs and others are allowed to participate in the festival. Teams will be able to present one to three compositions of their choice from different directions. Difficult formations, mass participation, and the use of bright objects (scarves, balls, balloons and other equipment) during performances are encouraged.
The festival starts at 12:00. Admission for spectators is free.
