Applications for the regional stage of the All-Russian competition “Best Municipal Practice” continue to be accepted

The regional stage of the competition is held with the aim of identifying and disseminating examples of best practice in the activities of local governments of municipalities of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

The competition is held in the following nominations, reflecting the practice of organizing municipal governance and resolving issues of local importance in municipalities of the Nizhny Novgorod region:

– “Providing effective “feedback” with residents of municipalities, developing territorial public self-government and involving citizens in the implementation (participation in the implementation) of local self-government in other forms”;

– “Municipal economic policy and municipal financial management”;

– “Urban planning policy, ensuring a favorable living environment for the population and the development of housing and communal services”;

– “Strengthening interethnic peace and harmony, implementation of other measures in the field of national policy at the municipal level”;

– “Modernization of urban services through the introduction of digital technologies and platform solutions (“smart city”).

City and municipal districts of the Nizhny Novgorod region have the right to participate in the regional stage of the competition, which, in accordance with paragraph 4 of the Regulations on the All-Russian competition “Best Municipal Practice”, approved by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of August 18, 2016 No. 815, belong to category I of competition participants.

The organizers of the regional stage of the competition are the following executive authorities of the Nizhny Novgorod region: the Ministry of Internal Regional and Municipal Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region in the nominations “Providing effective feedback to residents of municipalities, developing territorial public self-government and involving citizens in the implementation (participation in the implementation) of local self-government in other forms”; “Strengthening interethnic peace and harmony, implementation of other measures in the field of national policy at the municipal level”; Ministry of Economic Development and Investment of the Nizhny Novgorod Region in the nomination “Municipal Economic Policy and Municipal Financial Management”; Ministry of Energy and Housing and Communal Services of the Nizhny Novgorod Region in the nomination “Urban planning policy, ensuring a favorable living environment for the population and development of housing and communal services”; Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of the Nizhny Novgorod Region in the nomination “Modernization of urban services through the introduction of digital technologies and platform solutions (“smart city”).

To participate in the regional stage of the competition in the nomination “Providing effective feedback to residents of municipalities, developing territorial public self-government and involving citizens in the implementation (participation in the implementation) of local self-government in other forms,” municipalities of the Nizhny Novgorod region submit to the Ministry of Internal Regional and municipal policy of the Nizhny Novgorod region competitive applications.

Competitive applications from municipalities selected by the competition commission at the regional stage are then submitted to the federal competition commission.

The winners of the federal stage of the competition are awarded diplomas from the Government of the Russian Federation. The budgets of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in which the winning municipalities are located will be allocated subsidies from the federal budget to reward the winners of the competition.

To participate, applicants must submit competitive applications in the category “Providing effective feedback to residents of municipalities, developing territorial public self-government and involving citizens in the implementation (participation in the implementation) of local self-government in other forms” in electronic form and on paper.

Applications from competition participants are accepted until July 10 at the address: 603082, Nizhny Novgorod, Kremlin, building 2, southern wing, Ministry of Internal Regional and Municipal Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, room 154 on weekdays from 9:00 to 17:00, break for lunch from 13:00 to 13:48.
