Medical students will recreate the atmosphere of a hospital during the Great Patriotic War. A quest “Following the Steps of Medicine” will be held for Tyumen schoolchildren and students.

On the eve of Victory Day, May 8, in the building of the dental clinic of Tyumen Medical University, TMU students will recreate the atmosphere of a military hospital during the Great Patriotic War. They will show viewers pictures of the military past in the history of Tyumen medicine. Guests of the event will be able to learn about the work of the paramedic-midwife school and Tyumen hospitals.

On interactive platforms, participants will be presented with biographies of outstanding medical figures of Tyumen, and will also be introduced to the work of the chief of medicine and the leading surgeon of evacuation hospital No. 1500 Nikolai Sushkov, who performed dozens of unique operations on the wounded.

Participants will be able to learn how medical instruments were used in the field. They will be told about medicinal plants, their use by ordinary residents and doctors. In addition, schoolchildren and students of Tyumen will be able to take part in the quest “Following the Steps of Medicine”, organized by future doctors.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the address: Republic Street, 44. Registration for participation in the quest is carried out in messages from the TMU Patriotic Club VKontakte group, the TMU press service reported.
