Speaker of the Nizhny Novgorod Duma Lavrichev was awarded the medal “For Help and Mercy”

The Chairman of the City Duma of Nizhny Novgorod Oleg Lavrichev was awarded the medal of the Russian Ministry of Defense “For Help and Mercy”. Lavrichev spoke about this in his telegram channel on April 25, 2024.

He said that his colleagues in the “Nizhny Novgorod Militia-2022” Yuri Ablyasov and Evgeny Smirnov took part in the ceremonial meeting of the propaganda train of the Russian Ministry of Defense “Strength in Truth” at the Moscow station.

During the ceremony, five residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region were awarded medals “For Help and Mercy.” Moreover, four of those awarded are participants in the popular militia movement: Ablyasov, Smirnov, as well as Igor Mitryaev and Lavrichev himself.

The Chairman of the City Duma added that the organization has almost prepared 23 humanitarian convoys to the Northern Military District zone. He also recalled that the “Strength in Truth” campaign is being held from February 23 to May 7 to counter attempts to falsify history and to demonstrate the successes and achievements of the army and navy of the Russian Armed Forces. The route of the themed train has a length of 34 thousand km. It will visit 75 stations in 67 regions of Russia, and on May 8 it will return to Moscow, where it began its movement.
