Residents of the Angara region can take part in a regional competition of projects to present a budget for citizens

Irkutsk region, NIA-Baikal – The Ministry of Finance of the Irkutsk region announced a regional competition of projects to present the budget for citizens.

The competition is held in order to increase public awareness of budget issues and the budget process, identify the most interesting proposals on the form and methods of presenting the budget to citizens and disseminate best practices. Anyone can take part in the competition. Applications are accepted from April 27 to May 31, 2024, the press service of the regional Government clarifies.
“Every year, as part of the All-Russian competition “Budget for Citizens”, organized by the Ministry of Finance of Russia, the Ministry of Finance of the Irkutsk Region holds a regional stage for selecting projects to present a budget for citizens. This year the regional stage will be held in the Angara region for the 11th time. I am sure that during the competition we will get acquainted with bright and interesting projects that will be used to improve the financial literacy of the population,” noted Natalia Boyarinova, Minister of Finance of the Irkutsk Region.
Regional youth under the age of 15 can participate in such competition nominations as “Budget for citizens in modern forms of art”, “Best video about the budget”, “Information cards on the budget for social networks and instant messengers”, “Best board game about the budget for citizens”, “Financial literacy is important!”.
Projects are expected from residents of the Angara region over 15 years of age in the following categories: “Budget for citizens in modern forms of art”, “Best video about the budget”, “Budget information cards for social networks and instant messengers”, “Science budget for citizens”, “Best offer” on changing budget legislation”, “Budget for citizens in 2030”, “The best board game about the budget for citizens”, “Financial literacy is important!”.
Legal entities are invited to compete in the following categories: “Modern forms of presenting a draft local budget for citizens”, “Science budget for citizens”, “Best educational event on budget topics”, “Best information panel (dashboard) on a budget for citizens”, “Budget for citizens in 2030”, “Budget for citizens from the media”. The projects of the winners of the regional competition will be sent to participate in the second round of the All-Russian competition “Budget for Citizens”.
