In the villages of the Ivanovsky Village Council of the Orenburg District, water will be supplied for the first time after an almost three-week outage. The launch of the flooded water intake is scheduled for April 27.

As Orenburg Media previously wrote, interruptions in water supply in the suburban settlements arose due to flooding of the transformer substation, pumping station and Ecodolya water intake wells.

In mid-April, immediately after the peak of the flood, the water intake was flooded and turned off, and water supplies ran out. The water was turned off in all villages of the Ivanovo Village Council connected to the central water supply. Water remained only in households with their own wells. They organize the supply of water to the villages, but mostly it is a light brown technical liquid.

A week earlier, Orenburgenergo specialists resumed operation of the substation on which the water intake depends. Today it became known that Rosvodokanal Orenburg specialists are continuing repair work at the Ecodolya water intake. Water supply to the villages of Ekodolye, Ivanovka, Priuralye and Perovsky is planned to be resumed on April 27. Work is underway on five of the 12 wells. Another seven are flooded.

The electrical equipment at the wells themselves was replaced. New automation stations were installed there. Clean water reservoirs are now being cleaned and disinfected.

From April 26, flushing of distribution networks will begin at the water intake. After this, water will begin to be supplied to consumers. There was no water for almost two weeks, and therefore high turbidity is likely at first.

In addition, Rosvodokanal Orenburg warned about low pressure. It will remain as long as seven of the twelve water intake wells are flooded. They will be put in order as they are freed from water.

Let us remind you that the villages of Ivanovka and Priuralye were heavily damaged by the flood. Taking into account the TSN “Ivanovskoye” and the DNT “Zarya”, the Ivanovo village council is the municipality of the Orenburg region that was most affected by the flood.

About 18-20 thousand residents live in the Ivanovo village council; about 15 thousand consumers were included in the shutdown zone.
