The Ryazan region will celebrate the anniversary of People’s Artist of the USSR Viktor Ivanov

The acting director spoke about what events will take place in the region on her social network page. Minister of Culture of the region Elena Vasilyeva.
“One of the pillars of Russian art, a bright representative of the “severe style” – People’s Artist of the USSR Viktor Ivanov is celebrating his centenary this year,” Vasilyeva wrote. She noted that as part of the celebration of Viktor Ivanov’s anniversary, exhibitions will be held in Ryazan and Spassk, excursions, visual and literary regional competitions for youth “Family. Traditions and Continuity.”
“We are waiting for the Master in August at the opening of his personal exhibition. Viktor Ivanovich is preparing new works for art lovers,” Vasilyeva said. “We will traditionally present two young artists with a scholarship from the governor of the Ryazan region named after the hero of the day,” she noted.
