Among the key criteria for selecting young specialists, the candidate’s personal competencies are in first place (63%). Having a minimum work experience is important for 45% of recruiters. 38% of recruiters pay attention to the level and quality of education. Knowledge of the specifics of the company’s activities is important for only 14% of recruiters.

Among additional selection criteria, the level of software proficiency most often taken into account (57%). Internship experience is important for 28% of HR managers, academic performance at a university or college is important for 20%, and knowledge of a foreign language is important for 7%.

The most sought-after personal competency among young professionals was organization (59%). In second place are achievement motivation and development orientation (46% each). The ability to work in a team was noted by 32% of recruiters, and the presence of leadership qualities – 8%.
