During the day on April 25, six fires occurred in the forests of the Irkutsk region. Everything was liquidated on the same day. These are two fires in the Irkutsk region, two more in Usolsky, one each in the Ekhirit-Bulagatsky and Bratsk districts.

In three cases, the fire spread to the forest from lands of other categories, in the remaining three it arose due to the fault of the local population, the press service of the regional government reported.

Every day we do a lot of work patrolling forests and conducting preventive conversations with the population. Today alone, 100 groups of 353 people are scheduled to be on duty. But fires will continue to occur until people understand that it is forbidden to set fires or light fires in the spring, when dry grass and high wind speeds burn easily,

emphasized Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Irkutsk Region Vladimir Chitorkin.

He asks residents not to light fires in nature and personal plots.
