Future journalists and designers got to know the media sphere in practice in Tver

On April 24, the final lesson of the spring part of the regional Media School took place for schoolchildren and college students in the Tver region.

On the territory of the Multimedia Historical Park “Russia – My History” in the Youth Center of the city of Tver, school and college students got acquainted with several areas of the media sphere: journalism, design and marketing. During its existence, from February 7, 2024, the project has already involved over 300 interested children. The educational project was organized by the regional branch of the First Movement of the Tver region and the Multimedia Historical Park “Russia – My History”.

The founder of the Digital agency Gradus°, Pavel Borevich, acted as a speaker in the field of design and marketing for the fifth meeting this year. During the lesson, the children developed future certificates and diplomas that the most active participants in the regional Media School will receive.

The practical direction in journalism was taught by Denis Zelenov, founder and editor-in-chief of the Tverigrad portal, general director of United Media Systems and Pilot Radio. Together with the speaker, the guys made their first wall newspapers and discussed the intricacies of writing texts for various platforms.

“The Regional Media School meeting was a valuable opportunity for me to contribute to the discussion of important issues, share my ideas for solving them and deepen our cooperation as a team. The opportunity to meet interesting speakers was especially inspiring. Their insights and experience provided me with new knowledge and perspectives,” commented Elizaveta Nazaikinskaya, a student at the Tver Mechanical Engineering College, after the lesson.

The Regional Media School will provide young people with the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to effectively cover regional projects. They will learn to work with graphic editors, master the art of shooting and editing video materials, and also master the art of writing articles.

Let us recall that the Russian Movement of Children and Youth was formed by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin, its founding meeting took place on July 20, 2022, the first congress of the Movement was held in December of the same year. The Coordination Council of the Movement in the Tver region is headed by Governor Igor Rudenya.
