Volkhov in Veliky Novgorod rose another 6 centimeters

In four points of the Novgorod region, adverse hydrological phenomena are observed as a result of the flood. The water exceeded the initial flooding level in Veliky Novgorod (Volkhov, +6 cm in recent days), the village of Krasnofarforny, Chudovsky district (Volkhov, + 3 cm), the village of Korostyn, Shimsky district (Lake Ilmen, +16 cm) and the village of Kozynevo, Novgorod district (Ilmen , + 7 cm).

At the same time, the flood did not reach the dangerous level anywhere, but was close (15 cm) in Korostyn. In Veliky Novgorod there is another 50 cm to this line.

Over the past 24 hours, most of the rivers feeding Ilmen have shown negative dynamics, in other words, these rivers (Pola, Polist, Msta, Mologa, Kholova, Pes) have begun to decline. The exceptions were Shelon in Soltsy (+33 cm) and Lovat in Vzvada (+6 cm).

Meanwhile, in Veliky Novgorod they began to restore order on the embankments: they are washed and alluvial debris, branches, and silt are removed.
