More than 14 thousand tulip bulbs of the “white flag”, “purple prince”, “golden oxford” and “long lady” varieties were planted in the Kanavinsky district of Nizhny Novgorod. The first of them have already blossomed.

As noted by the first deputy head of the Kanavinsky district administration, Alexander Vovnenko, tulips were planted on the streets Kerch and Soviet.

“We have flower beds and flower beds in the most iconic places in the area. And one of them is next to the new museum. You can combine business with pleasure, first visit the museum, and then take beautiful photos. Contracting organizations pay special attention to the flower beds of the region, monitor the correct planting of flowers and subsequently care for them, feed and water them,” said Alexander Vovnenko.

The district administration recalled that last year more than 198 thousand annual flowers were planted in the Kanavinsky district, such as salvia, cineria maritima, ageratum, coleus bloome, graceful begonia, marine lobularia, hybrid large-flowered petunia, Tagetes deflected and erect.

As previously reported, in Nizhny Novgorod, flower beds will be planted in popular recreational areas, including those landscaped under the Housing and Urban Environment project initiated by the President, in the main district squares, along embankments and roads, and near monuments. “In total, we plan to plant more than 1.3 million flowers throughout the city,” said the head of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabaev.
