In the southern, central, western and partially Verkhnelensky districts of the Irkutsk region, a special fire regime will be established from May 3. The head of the regional government, Konstantin Zaitsev, signed a corresponding resolution on April 25.

The special regime will be in effect until June 17. During this period of time, a number of restrictions for the population will be introduced in the region. Citizens are prohibited from visiting forests when fire danger classes III and above occur. This does not apply to those who work in the forest, go to health centers, tourist centers or stay in them, as well as participants in competitions at bases located in forests.

Also, during the special regime, it is prohibited to make fires and burn garbage. You cannot cook food over fires, even with the use of special devices. Cooking with an open fire is only possible in buildings intended for living, in catering facilities, as well as in areas for preparing and eating food in tent camps.

If wind speeds of over 15 m/sec are predicted, power may be cut off in populated areas, reports the press service of the government of the Angara region.
